Stay ahead of the curve with these 4-session deep dives into the trends, people, and issues shaping Austin and Central Texas. This program is a quick and insightful way to understand our rapidly evolving community. No application is needed. Discover Central Texas is an open enrollment program.
Discover Central Texas features two tracks: Core and Community. Each is a 4-session curriculum, and you can do one or both in any order you choose.
Core covers topics like Courageous Leadership & Central Texas Demographics, Economic Climate, The Built Environment: Housing, Land Use & Transportation, and Education & Workforce.
Community covers topics like Community Engagement & Levers for Change, Arts & Culture, Health & Wellness, and Sustainability & Environment.
Program at a Glance
Class Format
- Four in-person classes
Time commitment
- Four consecutive weekly sessions. Session one is a full-day kick-off (9a – 4p) with lunch included. Sessions 2 through 4 are half-day.

Cost
- Registration for one track is $495 ($420 for Leadership Austin alumni). Registration for both tracks is $849 ($799 for Leadership Austin alumni).

Discover Central Texas is IT! I went into the program already knowing the area pretty well, but each session left me with fresh insights from the speakers. The curriculum helped me connect the dots between issues and opportunities in ways I honestly don’t think I’d have found anywhere else.
