What’s next around Culture, Equity & Leadership?
As leaders, we shape culture all around us – at work, at home, and in community. Leadership Austin has made equity a central value in our work. We are actively developing a new strategic plan in 2024 and examining the interplay of culture, equity, and courageous leadership and how we join forces to collectively address racial inequities and other disparities facing Central Texas. What has been the impact?
For more than five years, Leadership Austin has answered the call issued by former Mayor Steve Adler to provide meaningful community education around belonging, diversity, equity and inclusion. More than 3,000 individuals have attended a seminar Leadership Austin has convened in support of the Task Force on Institutional Racism & Systemic Inequities (Final Report, 2017). Thank you community, learners, and partners for making this program so impactful. We have come a long way and yet, the work is not nearly finished.
