The ice of winter storm Uri has since melted away, yet many are still grappling with the fallout. Beneath the grim headlines, everyday neighbors stepped into leadership positions, coordinating disaster relief services and caring for each other. Join us to hear from our panelists as they reflect upon the role of grassroots organizing, nonprofit networks and ground-level community mobilization in response to Uri. We will celebrate the many who stepped up to support each other and explore actionable steps to ensure that all, particularly our neighbors who’ve been pushed to the margins, have the resources they need to prepare for, respond to and thrive in the aftermath of future emergency situations.
