Immigration, Boundaries and Borders
“Immigration policy should be generous; it should be fair; it should be flexible. With such a policy we can turn to the world, and to our own past, with clean hands and a clear conscience.” ― John F. Kennedy, A Nation of Immigrants
Because Texas is located along the southern border, most of the current conversations are focusing on immigrants traveling through Mexico. At this breakfast we will explore the human experience by expanding the conversation to address barriers facing diverse immigrant communities of different cultural, racial and ethnic backgrounds.
Please let us know a week in advance, if you are a Spanish-only speaker so that we can try to have interpretation devices available for you. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide interpretation for other languages, at this time.
