Registration is now open for Leadership Austin’s January 14 Engage Breakfast.
The Growing Divide
There’s no denying that our city is thriving. The rising numbers and beaming accolades regularly make headlines across the country. But as Austin keeps growing, it is unfortunately also growing increasingly divided in terms of socioeconomics, demographics and culture. Leaders of various backgrounds agree that this is our city’s greatest and most immediate challenge.
Join us as we begin a thoughtful, multipart series that discusses the obstacles facing Austin and the creative solutions we need to build a more inclusive community for everyone who lives here. In the first breakfast, our panelists will frame the economic, demographic and cultural obstacles facing our city. They will paint a picture of Austin’s equality issues, using statistics, historical anecdotes and academic research. You will leave the event educated, inspired and eager to hear more and do more to address these challenges.
