Leadership Austin is proud and privileged to be in partnership with organizations that are making a difference in our region. Among these is The Junior League of Austin, which has been developing the potential of women in Austin for 85 years.
Since Leadership Austin’s founding, 17 Junior League presidents have completed the Essential program. The incoming president, Lyndsey Crawford, is in the current Essential class. She shared a message about the partnership in celebration of our 40th Anniversary.
“I am the 17th Junior League of Austin president to be a part of the Leadership Austin Essential program. The partnership between The Junior League of Austin and Leadership Austin has been essential in the development of the League’s past and present women leaders. As president of the Junior League of Austin, it is vital that I explore how our nonprofit actively and successfully engages with and positively impacts the Greater Austin community.
“I have lived in Austin my entire life and I have a great love for this city. It will be an honor to work toward systemic change with other community leaders. I am honored to serve our community with The Junior League of Austin and to deepen my understanding of civic engagement through Leadership Austin.”
Thanks, Lyndsey – and The Junior League of Austin – for helping us celebrate 40 years! Here’s to 40 more!
