The key to success for Leadership Austin alumni is the discovery of their why, coupled with an introduction to how. Our programs lead participants on a journey to discover and explore their values – those deep-seated ideals that guide and motivate us. Then we provide opportunities for participants to build relationships with other people who can help transform those values into action. When they make those connections, Leadership Austin alumni make incredible things happen.
That is true for Cameron Lockley (Emerge 3 – 2009 and Essential 35 – 2014). Leadership Austin helped Cameron map out a plan for marrying his professional passion for food and entertaining with his personal passion for the performing arts. As Proprietor and Managing Partner at Gusto Italian Kitchen + Wine Bar, Cameron uses both the restaurant and robust catering offerings to support the organizations that are important to him.
Cameron’s story is echoed by the 2,800 alumni of Leadership Austin over the past 40 years. The impact of our programs in the community is staggering when it is measured by the individual contributions that each alumnus is making. We are proud to tell these stories, and we are proud to continue empowering new classes to write their own stories every year.
Alumni: Cameron and Gusto Italian Kitchen + Wine Bar are catering the holiday party tomorrow night! Have you RSVP’d?
