Leadership Austin has graduated more than 2,800 alumni in the past 40 years. At that rate, the odds of connecting with an alumnus is high anywhere you go in the region. That is true at Austin Community College, where 12 current employees completed either the Emerge or Essential program.
“Austin Community College would like to recognize Leadership Austin’s 40th birthday by celebrating the dynamic ACC faculty and staff leaders who have gained valuable experience and connection to greater Austin through the Emerge and Essential programs. ACC believes that the Servant-Leadership model fits well in a teaching/learning environment and cultivated these participants with the opportunity to come together together with other people committed to their community. Providing these leaders with a broader understanding of complex community issues, and teaching them how to become more effective contributors to ACC and to Greater Austin has encouraged this dynamic team to enact change as they continue to serve our students, our colleagues and our community.”
